Typhoon Jose may enter PAR on August 3

State weather bureau, PAGASA said Saturday, August 2, 2014 that the Typhoon Jose (international name "Halong") may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday

At 4:00 pm today, forecasters said the center of Typhoon “HALONG”  was spotted at 1,260 km East of Central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 195kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 13 kph.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, CALABARZON and MIMAROPA will experience occasionally rains, the weather agency reported.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail throughout the entire archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough, PAGASA added.
