Suspect in Anria Galang Espiritu's murder and raped-slay, arrested

Three suspect in killing and raping Anria Galang Espiritu where arrested on Monday afternoon, August 18.

Jeepney drivers Melvin Ulam, Ramil Diarca and Elmer Joson are the three suspects in the rape and murder in the 26-year-old girl who was found naked from the waist down in a rice field in Barangay Sapang Bayan on August 14.

Calumpit, Bulacan Police said that they have two witnesses who saw the three suspect transferring Espiritu to another vehicle but the suspected men denied the allegations against them.

One of the suspect, Joson admitted that Espiritu was his passenger the night before she was found dead. But he said that the victim got off at Bagbag and that was where he last saw her.

While questioning, Espiritu’s relatives saw scratch marks all over Joson's body.

Delia Dionisia, live-in partner of Joson, claimed that it was she who scratched him. Dionisia told that she was also in the jeepney.

Anria Galang Espiritu will be buried on Saturday.
