On a Facebook status of Jam's mother Maricar Fernando Sebastian, "The fight is over, we lost the battle my son Jam Fernando Sebastian just passed away 10:30 am March 4, 2015."
Paolinne Michelle Liggayu (Mich - Jam's Fiance) said, “Nakapag decide na ang family. Hinihintay na lang maubos yung gamot ni Jam. Hindi ko kayang tignan ngayon yung ginagawa sa kanya. Na inaayos na siya. Ang sakit marinig na napag uusapan na kung anong susuotin niya. Sabay sabay tayong mag pray for Jam na makaramdam na siya ng love and comfort sa arms ni God,”
